While Mike Vick will now take up residence in Philadelphia, rumors are floating about as to the other teams that had an interest in the former Falcons QB. Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that the Ravens were one team in the mix. The following from Pro Football Talk:
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that Ravens G.M. Ozzie Newsome wanted to pursue quarterback Mike Vick. Per Mort, Newsome, coach John Harbaugh, and owner Steve Bisciotti couldn’t get on the same page. As we reported earlier tonight, one other team had made Vick an offer, and another team was poised to do so.
Newsome must have saw something in Vick when it came to playing on the field, but at the end of the day, the Eagles offer must have been too good to pass on, and he didn’t want to wait around to see if the Ravens would eventually agree on bringing him in.
