On Twitter today, Adam Schefter passed along a suggestion from Pat Kirwan:
The great Pat Kirwan had intriguing idea for the Ravens. Calls the Giants and trade for one of their receivers. N.Y. can’t keep all of them.
Giants have WRs Nicks, Barden, Smith, Hixon and Manningham — all locks. Then there’s Moss, Tyree, Hagan, Biddle. Ravens have to like one.
The Ravens, to be blunt, have receiver issues. Derrick Mason just retired. Drew Bennett just retired. Todd Heap is coming off a down year. Mark Clayton is really their only viable option (and you thought the Giants had problems). So, with the surplus of talent the Giants have, should they make a trade? I agree with Schefter: Nicks,Barden, Smith, Hixon and Manningham are all locks. So should they trade, let’s say, Sinorice Moss and Derek Hagan for a 3rd and 5th round pick? Maybe try to get a player back in exchange? Or should the Giants keep all receivers they have?

One thing is for sure, they need to help Flacco. Thats a dangerous team who, like the giants, are only a player or two away…
Being a giants fan, I’m sure reese and co. could come up with something if they feel they have the need to. It looks like Reese wants manningham and nicks and smith to step up. I think they will.
Oh and of course, manning has to step up too
