On the eve on training camp, the Rams trade newly aquired Orien Harris to the Lions for Ronald Curry.
So, to recap. The Rams traded Brian Leonard to the Bengals for Orien Harris then traded Harris for Ronald Curry.
So, essentially this is a Brian Leonard for Ronald Curry move for the Rams.
More to come on this move later.
UPDATE:
Curry is 6?2? 210, so he brings some size to the diminutive Rams receivers.
However, Curry was already beaten out of the slot receiver position by Dennis Northcutt of all people. Which made him available to the Rams in a trade.
Rotowire has this on Curry from Detroit’s camp:
Curry has been unimpressive in offseason workouts and there are concerns within the organization that his speed has diminished, MLive.com reports.
I’m not sure what to think about this, but he does bring much needed experience and depth to the Rams WR corps.
