The Niece of Steve McNair’s Girlfriend Speaks Out About Her Aunt

The tragedy of Steve McNair’s death is starting to unfold, as more details about the shootings that killed he and his 20-year-old girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, begin to be uncovered. On the surface, the most logical conclusion is that Kazemi shot and killed McNair, who was shot several times, then shot and killed herself.

Kazemi died of a single gunshot, while McNair was shot several times. If that is the case, the family of Kazemi does not believe it, as the niece of Sahel Kazemi spoke out about her aunt. “She was one, young girl who had so many dreams that never came true,” Sepideh Salmani said. “She would never kill anyone, ever. Or anything—not even a little bug. I want people to know that.”

The story from the niece is that Kazemi had told her that McNair was in the process of divorcing his wife, Mechelle McNair, and that after the divorce was final, the two would move in together. McNair paid for a condo for Kazemi, and also brought her a Cadillac Escalade.

“All she was trying to do was have fun. Nothing else. I believe there is a third person involved,” the niece said in the interview. McNair is survived by his four sons, Junior, Steve, Tyler, and Trenton, and his wife. More on the story will come out as autopsies on both McNair and Kazemi are scheduled for today.

    I think that her family should not be saying anything at this time… crimes of passion are unpredictable. I am sure they want to think the best but the reality is he has 4 gunshot wounds, and she has 1, plus the gun was near her body. It sounds like her family was encouraging her to date this married man.
    At best this girl was a homewrecker at worst a murderer. She may be young; but she knew the difference between right and wrong; as did Mr McNair. This is why you don’t get into a relationship when someone is still married… three people in a relationship is one too many someone is bound to get hurt; and yes separated is still married.
    The only victims in this horrible event are the McNair children

    Without knowing the full details of the whole situation, I will say that this is the work of a very immature non thinker (no matter who did this). I believe someone ( I will not mention names) felt that the meal ticket is done; and that persons source of wealth is coming to an end, and last time I checked Steve was not in financial turmoil. What a tradgedy.

    I have read just about every article on this..several things have been consistent ..he met her when she was a server @ Dave & Busters which he frequented with his family..saw her, liked what he saw chatted her up..exchanged numbers ..the rest you know..seems he never tried to hide anything..went on vacation with her parasailing @ some romantic beach vacation. HE WAS MARRIED..4 KIDS..FAMOUS..LOTS OF MONEY..she was young, little money, probably impressed with everythign he had to offer. Was he really getting divorced..who knows..his house was up for sell..thats confirmed also..his wife hadn’t seen him in a few days..he was always at this girl’s apartment ..didn’t attempt to keep it on the down low..she was maybe naive to believe him..but gee thats only happened A MILLION TIMES!! Check her ex boyfriend..it just seems too cut and dried to me..something isn’t quite right. Sadly TWO probably decent people are dead due to getting shot in the head..he paid the ultimate price for thinking with his penis instead of his brain. I hope both families make it through this tragedy..I feel for his children..the who world knows he was screwing around on their mom and got shot. GOd Bless them all.

    Someone stated earlier in the postings and I quote ” What a way for Mechelle, his wife to find out about Steve’s affair”, My guess is if he has being seeing this girl for 4 or 5 months, she already knew, and according to the local news channels, the McNair house was up for sale, so could be the marriage was over. McNairs wife told one news channel she had not heard from him in several days.

    This girl was overwhelmed by wealth and probably didn’t want to let it go…She is not white, but interesting, her race rarely dates outside their race, esp. black people…I am aware of one case, my frat actually dated and eventually married a young lady from Iraq and her family disowned her to the point they refused to see her newborn child and haven’t spoken to her in years…Either Steve tried to break it off or she demanded him to divorce his wife, etc. (She shot Steve and killed herself), its not that complicated folks….When you give a rat a big chunk of expensive cheese and he gets use to it, try to take it back and see how many bites will be inflicted upon you…..Don’t disrespect your wife at all and if you must, divorce and move on.     Message for Mechelle…my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your children. Now this is what I recommend that you do with regards to the memorial services for your husband: (1) have his body cremated;(2) DO NOT HAVE ANY programs or floral arrangements at the memorial services; (3)NO MINISTERS or any religious speakers; (4) After everyone mostly have arrived at the memorial services, (a)you get up and speak…tell the congregation that you and your children have appreciated all their expressions of love and sympathy, etc., (b) then step down from the podium and get your children, (c) proceed to walk out the building with your head held up high and (d)do not look back. As for the PRESS, no comments, the lack of speaks for itself. Period.

It’s a tragedy that he had an affair, his wife is dealing with that knowledge and now a dead husband.So men think of your families and how crushed everyone will be behind this deception.     First and foremost my prayers go out to his family, which includes not only his wife and kids, but his mother as well. As a mother I’m sure she raised her son better than that and to find out that he was killed by a girl he was fooling around with is very humiliating, not only to his mom, but his wife and kids. Those kids have to grow up and face the reality that their father cheated on their mother and died behind that fact. It doesn’t matter if they were seperated, the fact remain that he was still legally married and we as humans have no right to judge this man and woman. REMEMBER-there are two sides to every story and we don’t know either story. Trust and believe this-the people that say they had no clue who this girl was are LIARS. I admire Mechelle for keeping showing strength at his memorials because not only did she show up, she was there with his mom and I give her props for being involved especially for his kids.

    Has any one ever thought about this theory. She meets Steve after she immediately breaks up with her ex. He’s fuming and furious! She and Steve are having “big” problems in their relationship. She confides with her ex. He, in turn, stated on the internet that he wrote a song involving murdering your cheating lover. She listens to it and being a scorned lover, acts on it.

    My theory: He planted the seed of murder in her mind – but she pulled the trigger.
