The Raiders have landed former Cowboys LB Greg Ellis, who was recently released by the team after 11 seasons in Big D. Ellis was released by the club to make room for former first-round pick Anthony Spencer, despite being one of the best defensive players on the club.
NFL Fanhouse reports that Ellis will be inking a three-year contract today with Oakland. Ellis paid a visit to Al Davis’ team on Friday and agreed to the deal Sunday night. The former Cowboy moved from defensive end to outside linebacker with the Cowboys in 2006, will go back to end with the Raiders.
Financial terms were not available.
