Well I can clearly tell some are Brett Favre fans and not Packer fans. No one player is above the team which is how Favre acted. Sure Rodgers could have done better at the end of games, but he actually did give the Packers a lead fairly late in the game to only have the defense blow it, tell me how that was his fault? I can agree with the person who said Favre may not make a difference in the win column. YOu can talk about Favre's 4th quarter comebacks all you want, but Rodgers had 28 tds to only 13 Int's last year, meaning he probably was making less mistakes than Favre would. Plus you can't just compare the records, the Packers had tons of injuries on defense last year. I wish people would take off their Favre blinders and look at things objectively.

Favre not making a difference in the win column? What is Favre famous for? Fourth Quarter Comebacks. That is one thing Aaron Rodgers couldn't do. The packers had only 6 wins in an easy division and two of the wins came against Detroit, so basically they won four games. This coming from a team with the best receiving core in the NFL. How well Aaron played is not important. Winning is important. You can have the best game of your life and if you come out on the bottom it doesn't matter. Aaron had basically the same team Brett had last year, yet look at the record.

Yes, Favre was an icon & on near Lombardi-stature for Green Bay for so many years. As much as I wanted Favre intially to return to GB in 2008, Aaron Rodgers did a superb job with the talent that surrounded him. I don't think that Favre would have made any positive difference in the Win column last year.

Also, losing years??? What are you talking about? Favre only had (1) losing season with GB: 2005, one in which Favre himself contributed much towards.

Brett is an icon of the game, he played his heart out for Green Bay. All the losing years when he was getting his ass kicked every week, he never complained. Last season he wanted to come back and was rejected by the franchise that he elevated to the position they were in- superbowl bound. The problem is that they were super bowl bound only with him at quaterback. It was perfect, give him his jersey and lets go to the super bowl. The powers that be in Green Bay were too stupid to see the beauty in all this. Last year I was a Jets Fan and I will support any team that gives him a shot. This from a Gerry Kramer, Fuzzy Thurston, and
Vince Lombardi era fan.
