Despite what Peter King has to say about the subject, it appears that former Colts WR Marvin Harrison is not going to walk away from playing, and wants to return to playing in 2009. Steve Wyche of NFL.com reports that Harrison’s agent, Tom Condon, says his client is ready to get back on the field.
“I played in 15 games last year and a playoff game, and I intend to play again this season,” Condon said Harrison told him in a conversation Thursday afternoon.
The 37-year-old was reportedly going to call it a career due to his problem knee, as well as since there really has been little interest for him on the free agent market. Harrison has Hall of Fame numbers – 1,102 receptions for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns, but can’t seem to find a team.
Condon told the site that he does expect Harrison to land on a team later this summer before training camp.
