The Rams traded for WR Laurent Robinson today, exchanging picks with the Falcons in the 5th and 6th round for the receiver. He had an impressive rookie season, totaling 37 receptions for 437 yards and a touchdown, but this last season he was limited to due to injuries and only played 6 games (grabbing 5 receptions for 52 yards).
The Rams will move down 22 spots in the 5th round, and 20 spots in the 6th round as per the trade.
This is a good move by the Rams, as besides his limitation last year due to an injury, he played relatively well for a rookie. This doesn’t do much to add to the Experience of the WR Corps. however, as he is only a third year pro who has played in 21 games.
With the move coming right after the Rams first minicamp, it does question how well they think Donnie Avery and Keenan Burton can do this year, even if Robinson will most likely provide depth behind them.
