John St.Clair
The Browns have added some size to their O-line, as the team today inked former Bears offensive tackle John St. Clair. The Chicago Sun-Time reports that it is a three-year deal worth a total of $9 million.

Reports say that the deal contains $600,00 guaranteed, which is believed to be less than the Bears had offered in a $4.5 million, three-year contract. The St. Clair deal on the surface appears to be a series of one-year contracts.

“We are excited to add John to the team,” said Browns General Manager George Kokinis. “He has played multiple positions along the line and will be a valuable addition to the Browns.”

Bears head coach Coach Lovie Smith said the team wanted to re-sign St. Clair but said there were other options in case he didn’t. For the Browns, St.Clair could take the role that belonged to Kevin Shaffer, who was a starter on the line last year but was released last week.
