The Broncos have brought in a former Patriot running back, as today the team signed LaMont Jordan for two years at $2.5 million according to KDVR TV. He’s the 10th player that the team has signed since the start of free agency.

He was hurt for a number of games in 2008, as he missed eight straight games. A 2001 second-round pick of the New York Jets, Jordan had 20 carries in each of the last two games, rushing for 78 and 64 yards and three touchdowns. An eight-year veteran, Jordan’s best season came with the Oakland Raiders in 2005, when he rushed for 1,025 yards and nine touchdowns and added 70 receptions.

For his career, Jordan has rushed for 3,648 yards and 28 TDs with the Patriots, Raiders and Jets.
