Our friends over at the National Football Post are reporting that free-agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and the Cincinnati Bengals are close to reaching an agreement on a new contract.

The site states that it’s believed there’s 70-percent chance Houshmandzadeh returns to Cincinnati next season, sources said. An eight-year veteran, Houshmandzadeh caught 92 passes for 904 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games last season.

Houshmandzadeh has been talking a lot about moving on, and he’s spoken about playing for a number of teams like the Eagles, Bears and Eagles, but if the Bengals can get him back, it would be a major push in the right direction for a team that has struggled the past few seasons.
