Draft Prospect Smith Shows Up to the Combine Out of Shape

NFL Draft prospect has committed the number one sin of the NFL combine – he showed up out of shape.  How could this happen?  Who is this guys’ agent?  If Andre Smith does not show up in shape to the combine, what are the chances he will show up in shape for training camp?  Zero percent?  Less?

Sorry Andre, you have lost your Rams Gab endorsement as the Rams second overall pick.

Via Profootballtalk.com here is NFL.com’s Mike Maycock’s reaction to Andre’s shape (or lack there of).

“I’m dropping him down on my list,” Mayock said. “You don’t show up in shape for the biggest job interview of your life. You don’t lift. You don’t run. You don’t show up. It’s the worst thing you can do. How can you not show up in shape for this?”

I agree with you, Mike Maycock – you have to question his work ethic.  And considering Andre has had questions about his weight before – this may be the death knell for Andre’s draft stock.
