Papa John’s to Give Out 25-Cent Pizzas for a Touchdown on the Opening Kickoff Sunday
Posted by Matt Loede under Product Reviews, Super Bowl

Papa John’s, as part of its 25th Anniversary celebration, will giveaway pizzas for 25 cents to everyone in America if the Opening Kickoff of Super Bowl XLIII is returned for a touchdown. Kickoff returned for a score, you score. All you have to do is sign up at www.thecountdowntokickoff.com.
Did you know eight kickoffs have been returned for a score in the history of the Super Bowl? Most recently by the Chicago Bears’ Devin Hester in 2007, the last time the Big Game was played in Florida.
Papa John’s expects to sell close to a million pizzas that day. Lined up side by side, that would cover the distance from Phoenix to Tampa 13 times and from Pittsburgh to Tampa eight times. That’s a lot of pizzas!
Also former Heisman Trophy winner and Big Game MVP Desmond Howard (who holds the record for longest kickoff return for a TD in Super Bowl history) will serve as campaign spokesperson. Also on www.thecountdowntokickoff.com, hear what he has to say about the most anticipated moment of the Big Game – the opening kick!
