Report: Dungy To Retire
Posted by Stephen Rhodes under Indianapolis Colts, Off The Field News

Although the greedy side of me does not want this to happen, it appears that it will happen sometime today; according to AFP, Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy is expected to announce his retirement from coaching on Monday (today), with the announcement to take place in Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Star – citing a source within the Colts organization – reported that Dungy informed team owner Jim Irsay of his intentions last weekend. Should that be the case, then assistant coach Jim Caldwell will take over. The Colts, under Dungy, went 85-27 while making the playoffs in each of the 7 seasons he was head coach; while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his won-loss record was 54-42. He also won 9 postseason games in 13 seasons and only missed the postseason twice – in 1996 and 1998.
