Giants Running Back Brandon Jacobs is out Sunday night against the Cowboys with a knee injury, which leaves Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw to share the load. Without Jacobs, more of the offensive falls on Eli Manning’s shoulder.
Jacobs has an unique blend of size (6’4, 260) and top speed. The Giants use him early and often, to wear out the defense. Big play back Bradshaw then comes off the sideline fresh to terrorize tired defenses. Now, Jacobs is out. Derrick Ward, while good, is nowhere near as good as Jacobs. With the Cowboys needing this game desperately to keep their playoff hopes alive, no Jacobs is a sight for their sore eyes.
