Here's my quick thought on all of this along with the continuous news of more players in the NFL that are going down the same path:

If the NFL Owners, Sponsors, etc. would put all of their money they spend on athletes like Burress into their local Educational systems and Enforce Education FIRST...Football Second at EVERY level this might be a great start to turning the NFL around and getting out of the negative spotlight of crime ridden players it currently has. This money could be better used in providing a much higher education level (not creating inflated/false GPA's which most educational systems do)along with paying our TEACHERS their deserved Salaries FIRST vs paying a High School Football Coach a Six-Figure Salary for being a coach, and if they teach, a second rate one at best.

As they say: You can take the boy from the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the boy, millions of dollars only enhance the problem not solve it.

Its time to put some responsibility on the NFL, Owners, Sponsors, Universities, and Public/Private School Systems at every level to CORRECT this continuing and growing problem in our society, not just throw money at it and hope it goes away.
