Haltime Thoughts from the Press Box in Cincinnati
Posted by Matt Loede under Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets

Here are some quick thoughts at halftime here in Cincy at the Browns-Bengals game from the Press Box:
* In New Orleans, Deuce McAllister was introduced with the starters today, and it wasn’t just for show. Despite the Saints …..McAllister has a team-high 8 carries for 35 yards. I guess it’s time to see if he can carry he load and contribute.
* Who is Montell (don’t call me Williams) Owens? He’s a RB from the Jags that has the only Jacksonville TD of the game for the team, and it came on his first carry of the game on a 41-yard run. For those that have Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew, that has to drive you nuts. Owens is a 3rd year player from Maine.
* Guess staying out East all week for the Cardinals is not paying off as they would have liked. Three Favre to Coles scores and a Kurt Warner pick taken back for a score by Darrelle Revis has put the Cards in a HUGE hole 31-0. This is a big game for the Jets, and so far so good.
* Another unknown is having a big day – Lance Moore, wide out from the Saints. In his third season from Toledo, he has six grabs for 85 yards and two scores. The Saints are a team with a lot of weapons, even without Marques Colston or Jeremy Shockey.
* There was a lot of heat this week on Texans QB Matt Schaub, and he has come through. In a 10-10 halftime tie with the Jags, Matt is 14-for-19 for 134 yards and a score. Give the O-line some credit for giving him some time to throw as well.
