Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun is reporting that the NFL has postponed the Ravens’ road opener at Houston for a second time, pushing the game to Nov. 9.
Hurricane Ike, which came ashore at Texas as a strong Category 2 storm early Saturday with heavy rains and sustained 110 mph winds, severely damaged the roof of Reliant Stadium, making it unsafe to play.
“Our thoughts and prayers are all with those impacted by the hurricane,” coach John Harbaugh said. “We will adjust. Our focus now turns to preparing for the Browns [the Ravens' next opponent].”
The NFL rescheduled the Ravens-Texans game to Week 10, which is the Ravens’ bye week. The Houston-Cincinnati game, which was set for Week 10, has been moved to Week 8, the bye week for the Texans and Bengals.
