Source Says Brady Has a Torn ACL and MCL
Posted by Matt Loede under Injuries, New England Patriots

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee, NFL sources told the “Boston Globe” on Wednesday. Brady will undergo surgery in about a month and be placed on injured reserve. Brady suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s 17-10 win over Kansas City after being hit awkwardly by Bernard Pollard while completing a pass to Randy Moss. Matt Cassel replaced Brady and is expected to be the starting quarterback for the rest of the season. Brady is the reigning NFL MVP and has led the Pats to three Super Bowl titles.
In light of Brady’s season ending injury, the team yesterday brought back Matt Gutierrez, signing the second-year quarterback to the practice squad. Last year, Gutierrez was signed as an undrafted rookie as the team’s third-string quarterback and was released last month on the final cut-down day.

I have the same injury as Tom Brady and also the same left knee. I got surgery 2 days ago and my injury happend on Aug.23 2008.
Tom is going to have a hard time within those couple of days after surgery. I had some great doctors and I am pretty sure Tom Brady is going to have the top of the line, but he will bounce back from the surgery he just needs to fight through the pain. The medicine helps alot to with the pain so I am pretty sure he will be ok. Also the knee will be stronger than before. My doctor took a part of my Hamstring, but some people get part of their Patella. Their is no scientific proof to which one is better, although using the Patella makes the knee alot more stiff than what it was before. So Tom Brady I am going through the same thing you are from the same sport and it feels like nothing is going your way, but I have to say that you are a great QB, and their are alot of people that supports you out there so dont think its the end of your career!
