Judge To Appoint Trustee In Michael Vick Bankruptcy Case

A bankruptcy judge says he plans to appoint a trustee to sort out the dwindling estate of former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. Judge Frank Santoro says that since Vick filed for bankruptcy last month, it has become clear that he has very limited knowledge of the state of his finances. In an order issued Wednesday, Santoro said Vick has routinely relied upon others to make financial decisions for him.

Vick originally wanted David Talbot to serve as trustee in the case, but Talbot, who Vick had called a “trusted advisor,” has been charged with securities fraud in New Jersey. Last year, Vick entered into a plea deal with federal prosecutors on dogfighting charges and is currently serving a 23-month sentence at the Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary. Just three years ago, “Forbes Magazine” listed Vick as the 19th most highly paid celebrity in the world.

    It’s a shame that Vick,with all the talent that he has would just throw his life away like he did.Also ,why would he trust someone else to control his money.That tells me that he was not as smart as we thought he was.When you becomes that big,you have to suround yourself with postive people.For him and his brother to fall the way that they did,tells me that they both had a bad outlook on life.What a waste.
