Favre

It took all of five days for Brett Favre to start feeling the rigors of training camp. After a morning practice in Hempstead on Wednesday, Favre said that his arm felt tired. “My arm’s kind of dragging a little bit today,” Favre said. “It’s not really sore, but just fatigued. To be honest with you, I’m surprised that, I don’t want to say I feel good, that I’ve been able to make it through every practice so far.”

The QB went on to say that he felt every bit his age. “I felt 38 today,” Favre said. “I’m not going to lie to you.” It was not a secret that Favre had a tough day at practice, as some of his usual tight throws were off, and one short-hopped into the grass. “I didn’t throw the ball that well this morning, underthrew some throws,” Favre said. “No pain, but I’m 38 years old. It’s going to be fatigued a little bit.”

Favre also added that he may actually ask coach Eric Mangini about limiting his throws in some sessions, thus saving his arm for when it counts. The newly acquired QB is slated to start at home this weekend as the Jets will play in front of the home crowd for the first time Saturday night vs the Redskins.
