Harrison, Brackett Cleared For Colts-Panthers Game
Posted by Stephen Rhodes under Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts

There was good and bad news coming out of Terre Haute, IN on Friday; the bad news is that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, safety Bob Sanders and defensive end Dwight Freeney will not play in Saturday’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers; the good news is that two important players - wide receiver Marvin Harrison and linebacker Gary Brackett - have been cleared to play for Saturday’s game, according to the Associated Press.
Neither Harrison or Brackett played in their preseason opener against Washington last Sunday, and team head coach Tony Dungy didn’t believe they would play their first game until next week. There was a change of plans when Brackett returned to practice four days ahead of schedule and Harrison went through 2 practices unscathed. Assuming Harrison does play on Saturday, it would be only the third time he has appeared in a game since September 30, when Harrison was injured against Denver. Brackett, until just recently, was injured in practice last week with what was first thought to be a hip injury but was later changed to a groin injury.
