Favre Fans Await The Latest Developments

Brett Favre fans are in suspense this morning, waiting for the latest development in Favre’s status with the Packers.  That word is expected to come sometime after 9 a.m. in a news conference by head coach Mike McCarthy.  McCarthy met with Favre alone for five hours on Monday.  The two left Lambeau Field in separate cars close to 11:30 p.m. without talking to reporters. 

As the meeting between Favre and McCarthy stretched on last night, McCarthy canceled a planned meeting with his players at 7:30 and a scheduled news conference at 8:15.  Favre was placed on the Packers’ roster Monday after he passed a medical exam and a conditioning test.  Fans are still waiting to see whether all this results in Favre being on the practice field this afternoon.
