Favre in Vikings Purple? Not what I wanted to see as the ending for Brett's career.

Brett has held the organization "hostage" for the past several years with the retirement talk, but the Packers have mishandled this situation.

It is a business. Ted Thompson's job is to put the best 22 starters on the field. Aaron Rodgers can't be included in that argument if Favre is still available. Superbowl windows are very short and wasting one on a new QB is unfathomable.

Here is why the Packers lose by not taking Favre back:

1) Play a 1st place schedule
2) Unproven, 1st year quarterback
3) They WILL regress record wise
4) The same fans that want Brett to go away will then want Thompson removed. We lose Thompson at the end of 2010. he has been a great GM and the Packers organization will be weakened because Ted won't put emotion aside and make the correct decision.

Bring Brett back. If the season goes poorly, Brett will have to take the blame. Not Ted. Not Mike.
