The Broncos may be working on a trade for New York Jets defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson. The “Denver Post” reports the team is exploring a deal to bring Robertson to Denver in exchange for draft choices. Robertson was the fourth-overall pick in 2003.
The Jets recently tried to trade him to Cincinnati, but he failed the Bengals’ physical with a gimpy right knee. He’d also be hugely expensive, unless he agrees to a re-structured contract. He has a $3-million bonus coming in June and is set to make $9.5-million next season.
