While the thought from the word go was that Jags free agent QB Quinn Gray was going to end up wearing green of the Packers, there is another team in the mix that may look at making a run at Quinn services. NFL Network is reporting that the Raiders may take a look at Gray, signing him to be the main backup for JaMarcus Russell.
The Raiders have already lost Josh McCown to the Dolphins, and have shown little to no interest in bringing Daunte Culpepper back. With that, they currently have just Russell and Andrew Walter as the teams two QB’s, meaning that they are on the lookout for what and who is out there. Enter Gray.
Gray showed last season when David Garrard got hurt that he could play and play at a high level for an extended amount of time. He would be a nice fit to the Raiders, as well to the Packers, who enter life without Brett Favre for the first time in 17 seasons. While the Pack had his ear on Monday, the Raiders will today, and it seems like the competition to sign Gray could be wide open before its done.
