Huff

It appears from sources that the Raiders are looking to move strong safety Michael Huff.  Today’s Oakland Tribune states that two league sources have confirmed that Huff is on the trading block.  Huff was the Raiders first round pick, 7th overall back in 2006, but has just one pick in 32 games, and is not known as a big hitter or big-play guy, something the Raiders want at that spot.

Another thing that Huff does not do is stop the run well, which is another reason why Lane Kiffin and the team may be looking to move him.  The Raiders may look to the draft to improve that department of their defense, and if Huff has no takers and is still with the team in 2008, they may look to move him to free safety.  The bottom line now though is that Huff is available, and the Raiders may not be asking all that much for him to be moved elsewhere.

That’s nuts! Huff’s done his job, he can tackle, move and cover, especially locking down TEs like Tony G.
