I love how lack of action equals a lousy game to some of these ADD-ridden people. The first 3 quarters were great because it was a defensive battle. Not everyone can appreciate that, but it was full of tension, and I loved watching it. It all culminated of course with an exciting finish in the final quarter, but the entire game was great!

Super Bowl III was the greatest upset just for the impact it had on the NFL at the time. The AFL legitimized itself with that win. And at the time, a guaranteed win actually meant something because it was so rare that it happened.

I think XLII was such a great game because of the drama, suspense, tension throughout the entire game. I don't think sputtering offenses alone can or should dismiss a game as boring. I kept expecting the Pats to break out of their funk and was in awe partly at the Giants ferocious D and the Pats confounding lack of aggressiveness on O. It was that expectation of something happening that didn't actually occur that kept my interest.

Al, I get ya. Russ, u must have missed the game!!!!! It was definetly up there if not the best yet. The teams, the spotlight, the reasoning for perfection. Everything before the game built this game up (media or not) to be good. But then the 4th Q was great, and the emotions of the 1st three quarters...man I just couldn't believe the Giants D were dominating the Pats. Its so amazing that the 18-0 team looked so lost out there. That's one reason it was the best. Another was that catch by Tyree, and the comeback. Man, I can't stop thinkin bout how good it was!!!!

Are you kidding me Al... ???!!!?

No way is this even close to the best Super Bowl of All-Time.

And how could you even mention SB III in this discussion... SB XIII is definitely up there in the Top 3... Your right on that 1.

I think you mean the Biggest Upset in Super Bowl History - as this one ranks up there w / SB III, XXV, XXXII, IV, and XXXVI.

There's a MAJOR Difference between best Super Bowls and biggest Upsets in Super Bowls!

A Great SB has to be great for almost the entire 60 minutes... this game was close to just "sad" for the 1st 3 quarters other than NY's Excellent Blizting and Pass Rushers with that 3-DE Set.

This Super Bowl is one of the greatest Upsets in SB History but not even close to being the best Super Bowl of All-Time. It's Borderline Top 10. I rank it still below SB's X, XIV, and maybe even XVII.

It's in the Range of 9-12... Look @ my List and CHECK It out and tell me what you think.

I barely watched any of the 3rd quarter - I turned it off, the offenses were both pathetic. Only good thing to watch was the NY Giants Defense. I turned on NFL Films Super Bowl XIV instead of the 3rd Quarter and watched a REAL, Legitimate "Top 10" Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers going up against the big-time underdog L.A. Rams. Jack Youngblood playing through the Playoffs with a broken leg and everything in the ROSE Bowl - from John Facenda's Legendary narrating job to just the whole game itself w / Pittsburgh going into the 4th down 19-17, as they were expecting to DOMINATE once again.

Steel Curtain pulls it through as probably the best SB dynasty next to the 49ers of the 80s. Bradshaw goes DEEP to STALLWORTH for 73 yards for a game-breaking, lead-changing TD that was just a crushing blow for the Rams. Ferragamo had a WR wide open to take the lead but opted to throw a pick to Lambert that sealed the deal late in the 4th. That game had it all - Quarters 1-4!!!!!!

NY GIANTS/Pats had only 1 Good Quarter!!!!!!! How's that the best SB of All-Time. That's a JOKE!

Best Super Bowl of All-Time is Super Bowl XXXII Denver 31 over GB 24! ELWAY and TD get the jobe done...

2nd is Super Bowl XXV which could be the best... Norwood is wide right - Giants 20 Bills 19.

This SB reminded me of SB XXV because of the high-powered Pats offense remsembling Kelly's No-Huddle K-Gun offense with Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed - Giants in that game were dogs too...

Giants in the 3rd quarter had the 2nd longest drive in SB history - only to the Giants' 1st quarter drive in this year's big game which set the tone for the entire contest.

Look Back @ your Super Bowl History to make sure you RANK this one in its "PROPER" Place.

Thanks
