Hopefully this saga wuill be over. It's time to leave the man alone. Allow him to put his life together. As I've continued to say, life is more than football. To date I have yet to hear Vick or his lawyers say that he wanted to return to football. Vick indicated that he wanted to get Vick, the individual together and not Vick, the football player. He will survive. Growing up in Virginia , he learned to survive.

Some cheer and say he lost that money. So what, he has lived the life of a poor individual and the life of a rich individual. He learned to survive in both worlds. He needs to be left alone. Don't continue to beat a man when he is down. My grandmother often said "what goes around come around." Need I say more.

This whole saga has been a mockery. An article recently appeared which emphasized that Vick was only the tip of the iceburg. Probably we will hear no more about dogfighting after Vick is sentenced. Question, "was this really about dogfighting or was it about merely a ruse which allowed individuals an opportunity to attack Vick. This whole saga was overplayed. Vick did not murder anyone. He is not the only individual who has engaged in dogfighting. People reacticed to him with malice and often delight. One would have thought he had killed millions of humans. Would the reactions have been the same if it were Eli Manning or Peyton Manning? My answer is no. Was this about an individual who engaged in an illegal activity or was it about Vick the individual. Numerous comment have been made about Vick the person. Was this really about dogfighting? This experience will and has made a man of Vick. Some question his early entry entry into prison. It might be his desire to get on with the whole process rather than wait. Maybe he wants to begin rebuilding his life. aybe he seeks to serve his time and then rebuild his life. My only prayer is that he will not become bitter and resentful. I pray that he will continue to love those who would mock him. Then I pray for those who mocked him. Whether they believe in God or not, one day they will have to stand before the judgment seat of God. God will not only question what was done but he will also examine the motive and intents of the hearts of those who sought to persecute and then mock him. Again, once this saga is over, Vick will be okay. I have no doubt about that.
