My sources have found that Steve Spurier, current head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks, will be moving to Louisiana to take the head coaching job at Louisiana State University after Les Miles leaves that position. Les Miles was given permission by the Tigers to speak with Michigan this week about their vacant head coaching position after rumors have been circulating that he will be heading their way. LSU, currently ranked 7 in the BCS polls with a 10-2 record, has flourished under Les Miles, but a head coaching change is in line. Les Miles could be out of LSU soon after the SEC Title Game against the Tennessee Volunteers, scheduled this Saturday at 4 pm, and on his way to Ann Arbour to begin working with the Wolverines.
Spurrier has a coaching resume and style that could perfectly fit and spur itself into the Tigers’ fast and athletic offense. For his on the field duties, he’s a member of the College Hall of Fame, a two-time All-American, and he’s a Heisman Trophy Winner (1966). For his coaching duties with the University of Florida from 1991 to 2000, he’s won six SEC Championships with one National Championship in 1996. He’s had experience with the Washington Redskins and currently with the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Yeah.., Right, buddy. Keep dreamin’
Drugs are dangerous… you should seek help immediately. Golf is far better in SC than in Lousiana, and I have lived in both.
I think he is one possible candidate because of his past w Florida and ties w LSU’s current President Lombardi. Wow hope you are right on!
Ditto with CLB…I don’t know who your “sources” are, but they don’t seem very credible. Drunken Cajun toothless hicks in the swamplands of Louisiana do not count as sources.
Why did you just waste valuable time creating that post? Step away from the computer and take a deep breath. No repeat after me, Steve Spurrier will never be the coach at LSU.
Well, I can promie you this: Baton Rouge is a helluva lot nicer than Columbia.
Baton Rouge has tons of great golf courses.
Possibly not as good as Columbia, but many are
Hogan tour, Fazio, and Nicklaus masterpieces.
Compare that to this:
Baton Rouge also has possibly the nations
best football facilities, and available
talent base. LSU is where any USC football fan
dreams to be.
That why LSU regularly in in the hunt for a NC,
and South Carolina regularly goes to the Independence Bowl.
I Spurrier wants to compete for a championship with in the next 10 months, he better pack his bags.
LSU is a one of a lifetime opportunity. And they will all be lining up for one helluva Christmas present.
And toothless– Chris, South Carolina wrote the book on toothless hicks. Hell, it’s a fact you invented the TOOTBRUSH!
South Carolina is the laughing stock of North Carolina, USC the laughing stock of the SEC, Columbia and perhaps the most racist state capitol area left in the nation.
Sit down, ,before you hurt yourself.
Looks like Les Miles isn’t even leaving LSU…where are your sources now, jackass.
And if we invented the toothbrush, doesnt that mean we have teeth? In fact, I believe brushing your teeth promotes tooth health.
Such a scholar you are, Brad, yes sir…I’ll sit down, but please, you first.
