The NFL announced on Tuesday that Minnesota Vikings safety Dwight Smith has been named as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Minnesota’s win over the New York Giants. Smith had two interceptions – one returned for a touchdown – while compiling 112 interception return yards.
