Well last week I described my poor week of predictions with a Sinatra tune, this week it will be my fellow Bay State natives Aerosmith that gets the honor. I’m Back In The Saddle Again! My best week so far this season going 14-2, and hopefully salvaging some of my reputation that was tarnished the week before. But in the words of Super Bowl Halftime Poster Girl Janet Jackson, What Have You Done For Me Lately? With that in mind lets get on to week 12.

WEEK ELEVEN RECORD: 14-2

SEASON RECORD: 98-62

WEEK TWELVE PICKS:

New Orleans @ Carolina: Carolina 18 New Orleans 14: When fans bought tickets for this game they probably thought, worst case scenario we will get to see a contender on one side of the field. Although not too many observers thought the Panthers would be great this season, but the Saints, were picked by many (including this observer) to go to the Super Bowl. Instead what you have here is two teams just playing out the string at 4-6. Carolina gets nod due to home field, and DeShaun Foster should have a good game at running back for Carolina.

Tennessee @ Cincinnati: Tennessee 27 Cincinnati 20: I’m truly surprised we are not hearing on a national basis the disdain that Bengals fans have for head coach Marvin Lewis. No Marv must go chants just apathy, home field doesn’t count for much if your fans don’t care.

Houston @ Cleveland: Houston 24 Cleveland 21: Schaub looked good last week in the Texans win against the Saints, Andre Johnson did too, and Andre Davis makes his return to the city that drafted him. Browns are having too easy a time of it right now.

Buffalo @ Jacksonville: Jacksonville 24 Buffalo 9: Buffalo suffers hangover from pummeling they took in week eleven against New England

Oakland @ Kansas City: Kansas City 21 Oakland 9: I was very sorry that one of my favorite running backs of his generation has decided that playing is too risky for his health. But as some one who has undergone two spinal surgeries myself, let me tell you he was a brave man for even attempting a comeback, never mind making it back to playing in the NFL. May you enjoy the next stage of your life in good health Priest. Oakland dead in the water Kansas City wins

Minnesota @ NY Giants: NY Giants 27 Minnesota 13: Adrian Peterson is expected to be out for his second week in a row, without him G-Men shut down Vikes

Seattle @ ST Louis: Seattle 21 ST Louis 7: ST Louis has not won a home game all season, Seattle feeling confident that they are on the verge of a playoff run  make this contest a one sided affair.

Washington @ Tampa Bay: Tampa Bay 24 Washington 21: Tampa Bay running back Earnest Graham has had back to back 100 yard games, make it three against Washington’s defense.

San Francisco @ Arizona: Arizona 23 San Francisco 10: 49ers after starting out 2-0 have dropped 8 straight games, after this game they will have learned to count to nine.

Baltimore @ San Diego: San Diego 27 Baltimore 9: LT has huge game as Baltimore starts to come apart at the seams. Chargers with a 5-5 record are tied atop the AFC West. You should not be able to make the playoffs in my opinion unless you are a minimum of 9-7. But the NFL likes parity too much to put in that kind of a wrinkle into the Post Season.

Denver @ Chicago: Chicago 17 Denver 14: Grossman is adequate, but the Bears defense wins this game. Broncos just too inconsistent to pick on the road.

Philadelphia @ New England: New England 42 Philadelphia 17: Still do not believe Pats will run the table in the regular season, but this will not be the week the streak ends.

MONDAY NIGHT GAME

Miami @ Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh 36 Miami 7: Do you really think the Steelers are going to lose back to back games to the Jets and the Dolphins?? On Monday Night Football?? Please!
