Claveland Browns running back Jamal LewisBaltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata
The bad blood between the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens shows no sign of stopping any time soon; Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the National Football League has fined Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis and Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata $5,000 each for their conduct in the Browns’ 33-30 win over the Ravens last Sunday.

Lewis was flagged 15 yards for “unsportsmanlike conduct” after spiking the ball in front of the Ravens’ bench, following a 25 yard catch-and-run play in the first quarter. Ngata was fined for punching Browns offensive tackle Joe Thomas in the head after a fumble by Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards on the Browns’ first drive. Thomas tackled Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who recovered the fumble, and Ngata accused Thomas of going for Lewis’ knees.
