In what is not completely surprising - especially in light of the ramifications involved, ESPN is reporting that suspended Tennesee Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is expected to accept a plea deal Tuesday (today) that will get him probation in return for testimony about a Las Vegas night club shooting; this has been confirmed by Jones’ attorney, Robert Langford.

Specifically, Jones will plead “no-contest” to one count of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct (a gross misdemeanor) in return for a promise of a one-year suspended sentence in the county jail, according to a written plea agreement that was obtained by the Associated Press. Langford said that Jones did not know the identity of a man whose photo was released in June by local police.

In addition to the one-year suspended sentence, Jones is being required to attend an anger-management program, complete 200 hours of community service within one year and submit to random drug testing, according to the plea deal. Sounds like if he is already being tested by the NFL, then he will get tested twice as much, assuming this is the case.

But Jones is not out of the woods just yet. Jones also has to answer to additional criminal charges in Georgia; specifically, a felony count of obstruction from a February 2006 arrest. Also - three individuals who were wounded in the Las Vegas night club shooting - one being paralyzed from the waist down, have filed civil lawsuits against Jones, seeking damages.

So it appears that Pacman will be a busy man for quite some time, thanks to the additional legal troubles he has taken upon himself. And I will say it again as it was posted some time ago - I do not see Pacman playing for another NFL team any time soon - if ever again. And any team that signs him deserves anything that comes their way.
