Nolan

Former NFL coach Dick Nolan passed away Sunday at the age of 75.  Nolan had been battling Alzheimer’s disease and prostate cancer for several years.  Nolan spent nine seasons in the NFL as a defensive back with the New York Giants, Chicago Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys.  He later went on to become a head coach, and posted a record of 69-82-and-5 in 11 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.  He was 2-and-3 in five playoff appearances with San Francisco.  Dick is the father of current 49ers head coach Mike Nolan.  Mike missed the team’s practice on Friday and Saturday, but plans to coach the 49ers when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
