If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that Kansas City Chiefs running back is rather unlucky as of late. According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN, Johnson was fined by the National Football League for planting a flag in the end zone after scoring a touchdown during the Chiefs’ loss to the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.
Oddly enough, there was no flag thrown on the “celebration”; however, in reviewing the tape, the offciating department of the NFL determined that the celebration was a violation of NFL rules. I wouldn’t expect Johnson to appeal this infraction. To add injury to insult (literally, I think), Johnson would badly sprain his foot that will in essence sideline him for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

The NFL has gone overboard on punishments for after-the-touchdown celebrations. Nowadays, making a touchdown is very hard. When a team does make one, it is entitled to celebrate and natural to do so as long as it is not rubbing it in your opponents face.
I agree football is a very competitive sport and fans love it when a player shows this much emotion. what harm is it doing?
