Tennessee Titans running back LenDale White (25) carries the ball against the Carolina Panthers in the fourth quarter of an NFL football game in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007. White rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown as the Titans won 20-7. It was the third straight game White has rushed for 100 or more yards.

It was just like old times at LP Field on Sunday, as the Titans feasted on former Texans now Panthers QB David Carr as Tennessee topped the Panthers 20-7 for their 6th win of the season.  While the Panthers were unable to do much of anything on offense, the Titans running game was the story, rushing for 140 yards on 43 carries and controlling the clock most of the day.  Tennessee had just 236 yards of offense, but it was enough against a Panthers team that clearly is in deep trouble in the NFC South.

Carolina managed just 191 yards of offense, as Carr, who was playing with Vinny Testaverde on the bench, threw for just 107 yards on 15-for-27 passing.   The team ran for just 78 yards on 22 carries, a 3.5 yards per carry average against the NFL’s #1 run defense.

LenDale White continues to become the Titans top back, as he ran for 100 yards on 31 carries and a score.  While he only had a long carry of 12 yards, his tough running was the reason why the Titans were able to pound out some tough yards when they needed them.  Vince Young threw for 110 yards on 14-for-23 passing with no scores and two picks.

Tennessee held an opponent to 14 or fewer points for the sixth time this season. The Titans defense had a shutout until the Panthers finally scored in the fourth quarter.  Albert Haynesworth had three of the Titans’ season-high seven sacks as they continue to be the leagues most improved unit from a season ago.

For Carolina, it’s now two losses in a row, and with the Bucs winning, they fall to second in the NFC South.  Next week the Panthers will be at home for the Falcons in a must win. The Titans continue to sit at home, as they play their third straight at LP Field next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
