As was to be expected, Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald is reporting that New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork is appealing the $12,500 fine levied on him by the National Football League for the low hit on Buffalo Bills quarterback J.P. Losman on September 23. On his regular appearance on Boston radio station WEEI’s “Dale and Holley” show, Wilfork revealed his intention to appeal the fine; he told the hosts, “I’ve sent it back to the league and I’m going to appeal it, hands down, I’m going to appeal it. The only thing people have against me is they question my arm. A lot of people want to question why my arm went out. I tell them the same thing. If I sit here and push you from behind, see what your arms do?”
