Embattled Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick this morning will be in federal court in Richmond, Virginia to formally enter a guilty plea to one felony conspiracy count in a federal dogfighting case. Vick’s lawyers last week entered into the negotiated plea, with prosecutors recommending that Vick spend at least a year in prison. The maximum sentence he could get is five years in prison and a 250-thousand-dollar fine. Sentencing will be later and will be determined by Federal Judge Henry Hudson, who is known as a no-nonsense jurist.
Vick today is expected to admit that he financed and took part in a dogfighting ring at his property in Surry County, Virginia. The severity of Vick’s sentence will be linked to how much he and his three co-defendants cooperate with the government and if they are willing to implicate others who operate dogfighting rings. On Friday, the NFL suspended Vick indefinitely and without pay as a result of the signed plea agreement the quaterback filed. In that agreement, Vick also admitted to killing six to eight dogs in April of this year.

Michael should be banished from football, he was an example to young children but he made a very bad choice in doing what he did, so he should pay for it and not be rewarded by still playing in football so young men cnase what they canegt away and do against the law
