Lavelli

Dante “Gluefingers” Lavelli was one of the greatest receivers in Cleveland Browns history. Catching 386 passes for 6,488 yards and 62 touchdowns, Lavelli had a record 24 catches in six NFL title games as the Browns dominated the league during that time. The Hudson, OH native played in just three college games as he served his country in the U.S. Infantry before turning pro. Enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH in 1975, Lavelli is still beloved by Browns fans worldwide. Site Editor Matt Loede and columnist Jim Dubenetzky caught up for a few minutes with the now 84-year-old Lavelli at the 27th Annual National Sports Collectors Convention.
