Vick’s Dog Fighting Home Recently Broken Into

More bad news for Michael Vick, as the home that has been the recent subject of a dogfighting investigation was broken into sometime in May. The Atlanta-Journal Constitution stated on Monday that Vick’s home was broken into sometime between the dates of May 7th and 18th. “I don’t think it had anything to do with possible evidence,” in the dogfighting investigation, Commonwealth attorney Gerald Poindexter said to the paper. “I think it was some feuding over the spoils. Some people believe that in getting ready to sell the house, Vick had promised stuff to some family members and other people felt they deserved things.”

Taken from the home were three plasma televisions, sizes 62″, 42″ and 32″, two floor buffers, a wet/dry vacuum, an upright washer and dryer and a leather sofa. The vaule of what was stolen was set at $17,550. The police report said that those that broke in came in through a back, side window and that an “alarm was not working” in the home. To date no one has been arrested in the case.

As far as the case goes, Poindexter said that he is not in a hurry to push the case, becuase he is not getting the things he needs to get the case pushed. “I don’t have, to date, one investigative report,” Poindexter said to the paper. “I have nothing on my desk. I’m in touch with people who can assure me they can provide me the stuff. That’s where we are.” A few weeks back evidence was reviewed by Poindexter and Surry County Sheriff Harold Brown, but as of now that evidence is not enough to charge the Falcons starting QB.
